OOHPod, the smart parcel locker service, said it has raised over €5m in new funding from Business Venture Partners’ EII fund, Themvar Holdings, and several high-net-worth individuals.

The company said the funding will primarily be used to develop OOHPod’s self-service parcel locker network in Ireland and Northern Ireland and launch in Britain, and to further develop the digital advertising offering on the OOHPod kiosks.

The company currently employs 12 people and expects to add 10 new jobs in IT development, marketing, and various operational roles.

Launched in 2022 by John Tuohy following the sale of his Nightline courier business and its locker arm ParcelMotel, OOHPod parcel lockers can be used for parcel deliveries no matter who the delivery provider is.
